Grim Bank Holiday set to make way for mini-heatwave

The Bank Holiday weekend has been a real disappointment when it comes to the weather.

The weekend has been dominated by low pressure from the Atlantic bring in stormy conditions and temperatures in the low and mid teens.

But don’t write off your summer just yet as thinks look set to improve as talk of a possible “Indian Summer” could excite Londoners.

On Wednesday (September 3), temperatures in London will reach 21C, but before then Bank Holiday Monday will also be chilly after a sopping wet Sunday (August 30) predicted.

The following day on Thursday, temperatures are back up to 23C and remains at 20C or higher for the next five days with no more rain forecast.

So even if this weekend was a rotter, things look good for a some warmer weather next weekend.

The Met Office look ahead reads: “Tuesday will again remain dry and bright with light winds. Rain will arrive from the west on Wednesday afternoon accompanied by freshening winds. Drier and brighter again on Thursday.”
