London weather: BBC and Met Office predict Indian Summer in September with 25C temperatures

Summer is officially over and Autumn has arrived in the form of September, but considering the bleak weather London endured throughout much of July and August its doubtful many will mind.

Encouragingly though, September looks to be a calmer and more settled month than the two that proceeded it.

In fact, on one week in particular the BBC has predicted a mini Indian Summer with temperatures in the capital reaching the lofty heights of 25C.

In comparison, the Met Office also thinks a warm dry spell is on the way, although it has only predicted highs of 23C next week.

That this is worth any consideration is testament to how grim the summer has been in general of course.

But after the summer we’ve have, we’ll take anything we can get.
