A detailed police investigation into a premises at Lancaster Gate allegedly being used as a brothel has been dropped.
In May 2020 following a raid at an address by Lancaster Gate Police officers two women were arrested on suspicion of controlling/managing a brothel and £8,000 in cash was seized by investigating officers.
However following a protracted investigation by the Met Police’ Financial Investigations Unit – the Crown Prosecution Service has decided that the matter is “not in the public interest” and that “no further action” will be taken.
Met Police tweeted at 2.35am: “Following this warrant, 2x females were arrested for Controlling/Managing a brothel Following months of work alongside the Financial Investigations Unit, @CPSUK decided that the ‘Matter was not in the public interest’ The matter has been ‘No Further Actioned.”
