Tube-style map shows all of the hidden parks and canals around London

Are you getting tired of going on daily walks in the same old parks near your house?

London is full of hidden green spaces, from ancient forests to spooky cemetery parks.

This ‘Greenground’ map shows all of the parks and green spaces around London in an London Underground style map. You might discover a new and quirky park five minutes from your home that you never knew existed!

And the lines connecting each ‘stop’ on the park is an actual walking or cycling path that you can take from one green spot to another. It is by artist and designer Helen Ilus.

The map also charts London’s canals, so that you can get lost wandering along a canal. Or you can take the scenic route by walking to one place from another along a canal.

And instead of the usual Tube lines there are different ‘green’ lines. Shades of blue lines show different canals and rivers, while green and yellow represent parks.

The map is designed so that it changes the way that Londoners see nature in their city.

So instead of just seeing isolated parks in an urban city, this map makes you see the city itself as one, green network of parks and waterways.
